The Ulverston Brewing Company has been producing quality beers for both local and national festivals, pubs and retail outlet for a number of years.

We pride ourselves on having high quality beers with a distinct flavour and aroma. Our aim is to brew quality real ale appealing to as many palates as possible. Most of our range draws from one of our local heroes - Stan Laurel. Using the Laurel and Hardy connection our beers are named in their honour - the award winning Stout Ollie, Another Fine Mess and Laughing Gravy to name but three. No doubt the comedy duo would be delighted to have a pint or two whilst warming up for another vintage recording.

As an award winning brewery we are pleased to have been recently crowned Champion Speciality Beer by CAMRA. We have also raised our glasses to great success at two of our local beer festivals. 'Blue Ridge Mountain' was 1st place in the public vote at The Ulverston Beer Festival 2007. We were delighted that 'Lonesome Pine' was the Overall Winner at The Westmorland Beer Festival also in 2007.

We are already busy producing our next specialty beer in time for the unveiling in County Square in Spring of 2009 of the Laurel and Hardy statue, created by sculptor Graham Ibbeson.
